Trading signals, the questions buyers ask first
Straight answers on verification, grades, pricing and what separates a re-checkable provider from a chatroom.
Common questions
Are paid trading signals worth it?
Only when the provider can prove its past calls, and most cannot, because the losses quietly disappear and a green screenshot proves nothing about timing. Paid is not the marker of quality; re-checkable is. More: the three conditions that settle it.
How do I know a signal was not edited after the move?
Ask whether the call was committed to a public ledger at send-time. If it was, changing any field - entry, target, stop or grade - would break the fingerprint and stop it matching the public receipt. The pick anchors every call to Bitcoin this way. More: sealed before the result, and how to check one yourself.
What win rate should a signal provider have?
There is no magic number, and a number alone is close to meaningless. A 67.5% win rate shown over 308 calls with the losses left in is far more trustworthy than a 94% banner with no count beside it. Demand the call count first. More: why the call count is the whole test.
Can I subscribe to just one model?
Yes. The single-model plan is $20 a month, which is exactly why you can follow one clock without paying for the others. The all-models plan is $50 a month on a 14-day free trial, and there is a $5,000-per-quarter Pro Access tier for heavier users.
What do the A-to-D grades mean?
Every call wears a conviction grade running from A (strongest) down to D (weakest), placed by where the call falls in its own model's measured return spread. The E grade no longer exists, dropped to keep the ladder meaningful. And since the grade is baked into the fingerprint, it is locked before the result is known. More: grades that are calculated, with the per-model thresholds.
Is a signal service the same as copy-trading or a managed account?
No. With a signal service you are told the intended trade and you alone choose whether and how to place it. Copy-trading wires another account's trades straight into yours; a managed account lets a stranger trade your money at their discretion. Neither your funds nor your order button ever leave your hands here.
Are free trading signals a scam?
Not by definition. The issue is verifiability and incentives, not the price tag. Many free channels are broker referral funnels that earn on your sign-up, so check the revenue model before you trust the calls - a free channel you can fully re-check beats a paid one you cannot. More: the referral-revenue warning sign.
Who is behind the recommended provider?
Darren O'Neill, who took the 2023 Trading World Champion title and went on to post real-money results in the 2025 World Cup Trading Championships. His four mean-reversion models each ship with a Bitcoin fingerprint on every call, and the underlying record is checked by an outside party rather than simply asserted by him. More: about this guide and where the numbers come from.
